Ages 7-13

Students may choose between two learning tracks based on their starting level of Persian comprehension. The Literacy Track serves students who already understand Persian at home but need to master the written language. While they learn to read and write, their vocabulary and conversation grow naturally through class activities. The Conversation Track is for absolute beginners. The curriculum prioritizes speaking, vocabulary, and sentence-building games, with a lighter emphasis on reading/writing.

Please explore the class options listed here and contact us if you have any questions. New students with prior Persian language education may request a placement test at least a week prior to the start of the classes by filling out the placement request form.

Literacy Track

Beginner 1

Students will learn the Persian alphabet, numbers, simple words, and sentences, improving basic conversation and vocabulary.

Beginner 2

Students will gain confidence in their Persian reading and writing skills while enhancing their pronunciation, comprehension, and conversation skills.

Conversation Track

Beginner 1 & 2
Students build starter vocabulary through themes like family, colors, and daily routines while speaking in simple past or present-tense sentences. Games, songs, and flashcards introduce key topics while students learn the Persian alphabet and begin writing single words and short phrases. Cultural activities introduce basic customs and celebrations, laying a foundation for intercultural awareness.

Ages 14-17

High school students choose between two focused pathways, matching their current Persian ability. Literacy Track serves heritage speakers who already understand Persian but have not learned the script; in a single, fast-paced academic year, they master reading and writing, while sharpening their conversation as a supporting skill. Conversation Track is designed for students with little or no prior exposure. The curriculum prioritizes listening, speaking, sentence structure, and theme-based vocabulary over reading and writing.

New students interested in Persian language classes may request a placement test at least a week prior to the start of the classes by filling out the placement request form.

Literacy Track

If you comprehend spoken Persian above the basic level and want to master reading and writing in an accelerated, efficient way, our High-School Literacy Track is built for you. Over 30 focused sessions, heritage learners progress from learning every letter of the Persian alphabet—including contextual shapes and accurate handwriting—to reading authentic short stories, articles, and poems with confidence. Guided spelling, structured writing practices, and targeted reading drills move students from single words to well-formed paragraphs, while class activities reinforce accurate pronunciation and script. By the end of the course, students will read independently, analyze texts, and express ideas clearly in writing—opening a lifelong doorway to Persian literature and culture.

Conversation Track

Students jump straight into simple daily conversations—greetings, introductions, and basic needs—while practicing simple present- and past-tense verb conjugations, form yes/no and WH-questions, and build short S-O-V sentences. They follow a theme-based curriculum that immerses true beginners in high-frequency vocabulary and everyday expressions. The Persian alphabet is introduced early as a practical aid for sounding out key words, labeling visuals, and jotting captions, helping oral vocabulary stick without slowing spoken practice. By term’s end, learners can follow slow, clear speech, respond with short phrases, and write Persian words or brief notes that reinforce what they hear and say.
