Color-of-Flag-Day at the Chicago Persian School

September 27, 2018

Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 @ CPS

Let's all wear to school any combination of Green-White-Red in honor of Iran's flag!

  • This is the closest Sunday to "Mehregan" celebration, the "National Day of Love" in the Iranian calendar.

  • Color-of-Flag day at CPS is a symbolic gesture of respect to the flag and Iranian heritage.

  • Students, parents, and teachers are encouraged to include colors of Iranian flag in their outfit. This is an optional activity and no one should feel obligated.

  • Teachers will explain the meaning of each color in our flag during the class time on Sunday and do related class activities.

  • We prefer that actual flags are not brought to school.
