Community Service

Giving back to the community in the form of volunteering is a great way to encourage a spirit of kindness and generosity in our children. We welcome suggestions for community service activities that can be arranged through the school. Please share your ideas and check the following list for some examples and resources:

The Honeycomb Project: a great resource for family-friendly volunteering opportunities

Volunteer Match: a great resource to find all types of in-person and online volunteer opportunities for different age groups and skill levels

Feed My Starving Children: reserve your spot for packing meals on your own or with a group

Volunteer as a Dari/Persian Translator:

Sponsor or Support Refugees:

Donating Persian Books: Certain public libraries in the Chicago area with Iranian and Afghani audiences may welcome donations of children or adult Persian books that are in good condition and have an ISBN (so they can be cataloged).

To reach out for questions or share your suggestion, email us at info@chicagopersianschool.org
